Waters Ave. Map

Participating in a collaborative project with other MFA graphic design candidates, we were tasked to create a tool which would help to revitalize the Waters Ave. communities of Savannah, GA.

Project Overview

The map catalogs the buildings and empty lots along the avenue itself as well as providing spheres of influence which highlight community connection points (churches, schools, parks, community centers, etc.). The map served as a useful part of an initiative between SCAD and the City of Savannah, which culminated in the Design Ethos 2012 conference. Attendees and community members were able to use to the map to ideate and inform their decisions when looking for opportunities in the surrounding communities.
